The Key Odyssey Questions, Answered

What do all four 2027 Odyssey trims share?

Every 2027 Honda Odyssey has a 280-hp 3.5-liter V6, a 10-speed automatic, front-wheel drive, eight seats, Honda Sensing®, and up to 3,500 pounds of towing when properly equipped. All have 19/28/22 city/highway/combined EPA estimates and the same standard cargo measurements.

Which trim includes the rear screen and CabinWatch?

The 2027 Honda Odyssey Touring is the first trim with the 12.8-inch rear entertainment screen and CabinWatch® rear-seat camera, starting at $47,895 MSRP. Elite includes both; EX-L and Sport-L do not.

Which Odyssey has ventilated seats and a heated steering wheel?

The 2027 Honda Odyssey Elite is the only trim with ventilated front seats and a heated steering wheel. Heated front seats are standard on EX-L, Sport-L, Touring, and Elite.

Is the 2027 Honda Odyssey available with AWD or a hybrid?

No. Every U.S.-market 2027 Honda Odyssey is a V6-powered, front-wheel-drive model. Snow mode is standard, but it does not add all-wheel drive.

Which 2027 Odyssey trims have leather-trimmed seats?

Touring has leather-trimmed seats with piping, and Elite has perforated leather trim with piping. EX-L and Sport-L use HondaTex; Sport-L adds red stitching.

How much more do the higher Odyssey trims cost?

Starting MSRP increases by $1,100 from EX-L to Sport-L, $3,600 from Sport-L to Touring, and $4,200 from Touring to Elite. Moving directly from EX-L to Touring adds $4,700.

A trim upgrade should solve a specific need. Start with the features you would miss: a built-in movie screen, a camera for the back seats, parking sensors, different upholstery, or ventilation for the front seats. Those priorities are more useful than choosing the highest badge by default.

At Jeffrey Honda in Roseville, near Detroit, we encourage you to compare the features that matter during an ordinary week, not just on an occasional vacation. Bring your passenger and cargo needs into the decision, then use the comparisons below to narrow the lineup before a test drive.

2027 Odyssey Trim Comparisons: Which Upgrade Makes Sense?

Already deciding between two trims? Match the price difference to the equipment you would gain—and the features you already have.

2027 Odyssey EX-L vs Sport-L

$1,100 MSRP difference

The choice is mainly appearance and third-row charging. Sport-L replaces EX-L's 18-inch machine-finished wheels with 19-inch gloss-black wheels and adds red interior accents plus two rear USB-C ports. Both use HondaTex seating and the same V6 and transmission.

Choose based on: Whether the black-and-red design and built-in third-row charging are worth $1,100 to you. EX-L already includes the power doors, moonroof, and heated front seats.

2027 Odyssey Sport-L vs Touring

$3,600 MSRP difference

Touring shifts the focus from Sport-L's styling to passenger technology. Its rear entertainment screen, CabinWatch, parking sensors, navigation, and leather-trimmed seats change what the van can do for its occupants. The gloss-black wheels and red accents do not carry over.

Choose based on: Whether you prefer Sport-L's design or want the factory rear screen and parking alerts. Touring also adds Wi-Fi capability, a 115-volt outlet, and third-row sunshades.

2027 Odyssey Touring vs Elite

$4,200 MSRP difference

Touring already provides the rear screen, CabinWatch, navigation, and parking sensors. Elite adds ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, premium audio, hands-free tailgate access, acoustic door glass, and upgraded mirrors and wipers.

Choose based on: Your own comfort behind the wheel. Elite does not add another row of seats, a stronger engine, or a higher towing rating; the extra $4,200 goes toward comfort and convenience.

2027 Odyssey EX-L vs Touring

$4,700 MSRP difference

Skipping Sport-L takes you from the standard family equipment directly to the rear-seat technology package. Touring adds the screen and CabinWatch, parking sensors, built-in navigation, Wi-Fi capability, leather trim, and more third-row charging and shade coverage.

Choose based on: How you plan to use the back rows. EX-L works well with your own entertainment devices; Touring integrates more of those passenger features into the van.

2027 Odyssey EX-L vs Elite

$8,900 MSRP difference

EX-L and Elite bookend the lineup, but both seat eight and have the same powertrain, standard cargo measurements, and towing rating. Elite combines Touring's passenger technology with its own seating, audio, tailgate, glass, mirror, and wiper upgrades.

Choose based on: How many of those upgrades are priorities. Compare the features individually rather than paying $8,900 more simply to reach the top trim.

Inside Each 2027 Honda Odyssey Trim

Compare the equipment included with each trim, then use the hands-on checks to decide whether its upgrades belong on your shortlist.

2027 Honda Odyssey EX-L

A well-equipped starting point

$43,195 MSRP · $44,790 including destination

Included with EX-L

  • 3.5-liter V6 with 280 hp; 10-speed automatic; front-wheel drive and Snow mode
  • Eight-passenger seating with Magic Slide® second-row seats and a 60/40 third-row Magic Seat®
  • Power sliding doors and a power tailgate with programmable height
  • HondaTex seating; heated front seats; 12-way power driver's seat with memory
  • Tri-zone automatic climate control, a one-touch moonroof, and second-row sunshades
  • 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Autoâ„¢; wireless phone charger
  • CabinTalk® in-car PA and a 160-watt, seven-speaker audio system
  • Honda Sensing®, Blind Spot Information, and Cross Traffic Monitor
  • 18-inch machine-finished alloy wheels

Why choose EX-L: It delivers the seating flexibility, heated front seats, power doors, and phone connectivity without the extra cost of a rear entertainment screen or leather trim. It also keeps a third-row 12-volt outlet.

Try it in person: Bring the child seats and stroller you use now. Check access to the back row and cargo room with your normal seating arrangement.

2027 Honda Odyssey Sport-L

A more distinctive look without the Touring price

$44,295 MSRP · $45,890 including destination · $1,100 above EX-L

Sport-L upgrades over EX-L

  • 19-inch gloss-black alloy wheels and 235/55R19 tires
  • Exclusive Sport-L exterior and interior design details
  • Red stitching on the HondaTex-trimmed seats
  • Red ambient cabin lighting in place of blue
  • Two third-row USB-C charging ports, each rated at 3.0 amps

A different interior accent color

  • Red lighting replaces the blue ambient lighting in EX-L

Why choose Sport-L: You like the gloss-black wheels and red accents, or want built-in USB-C charging for passengers in the third row. It keeps the same basic powertrain, seating layout, and driver-assistance equipment as EX-L.

Take a closer look: Compare the wheels and cabin finishes beside another trim. The Sport-L design is an alternative to Touring and Elite, not a styling package that comes with them.

2027 Honda Odyssey Touring

More built-in equipment for passengers and parking

$47,895 MSRP · $49,490 including destination · $4,700 above EX-L

Touring upgrades over Sport-L

  • 12.8-inch Advanced Rear Entertainment System
  • CabinWatch® camera for viewing the rear seats
  • Eight parking sensors: four in front and four at the rear
  • Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation with voice recognition and HD Digital Traffic
  • Wi-Fi hotspot capability and available HondaLink® subscription services
  • HDMI interface with USB-A, a third-row headphone jack, and a front 115-volt/150-watt outlet
  • Three third-row USB-C ports, third-row sunshades, and upper front-seatback pockets
  • Leather-trimmed seats with piping
  • 19-inch gray alloy wheels and a thicker-wall rear stabilizer bar

Equipment and finishes that change

  • No third-row 12-volt outlet; the front and cargo-area 12-volt outlets remain
  • Gray wheels and different cabin finishes replace Sport-L's gloss-black wheels and red accents

Why choose Touring: You want the rear screen and CabinWatch, or require factory front and rear parking sensors. Those features arrive together here, along with leather trim, navigation, and more third-row conveniences.

Before deciding: While parked, check the display from each back row and ask for a CabinWatch demonstration. Confirm how your preferred media device connects to the rear entertainment system.

2027 Honda Odyssey Elite

Passenger technology plus the most front-seat upgrades

$52,095 MSRP · $53,690 including destination · $8,900 above EX-L

Elite upgrades over Touring

  • Front-seat ventilation and a heated steering wheel
  • Perforated leather-trimmed seats with piping
  • 500-watt, 11-speaker premium audio with Multi-Zone Audio
  • Hands-Free Access for the power tailgate
  • Rain-sensing windshield wipers
  • Side mirrors with automatic dimming and power folding
  • Acoustic laminate glass in the front and rear doors
  • 19-inch machine-finished alloy wheels

A replacement, not an additional audio system

  • The 500-watt premium system replaces Touring's 160-watt audio system

Why choose Elite: You want Touring's equipment plus ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, premium sound, and easier tailgate access. For a Michigan driver, the heated wheel is a useful feature to compare—but heated front seats are already standard on every trim.

Compare the difference: Listen to the same music in Touring and Elite, sample the seat ventilation, and test the hands-free tailgate before deciding whether the added comfort justifies $4,200.

Details to Check Before Choosing a Higher Odyssey Trim

A higher starting price does not mean every feature carries forward unchanged. Pay particular attention to the outlets, interior finishes, and comfort equipment you prefer.

A third-row 12-volt outlet is a lower-trim feature

EX-L and Sport-L include a 12-volt outlet specifically for the third row. Touring and Elite do not, although front and cargo-area 12-volt outlets remain on all trims. The upper trims instead offer three third-row USB-C ports and a front 115-volt outlet.

Sport-L's black-and-red design does not carry over

Touring and Elite do not combine their technology packages with Sport-L's gloss-black wheels, red seat stitching, and red ambient lighting. Compare the styling and equipment priorities separately rather than assuming a higher trim includes both.

EX-L has no dedicated third-row USB-C charging

EX-L supplies USB-C charging in the first two rows, but not the third. Sport-L is the first trim with third-row USB-C ports, adding two; Touring and Elite provide three.

The weight changes; the towing rating does not

EX-L weighs 4,526 pounds, compared with 4,590 pounds for Elite. Despite the additional equipment and weight, all four trims have the same EPA fuel-economy estimates and the same 3,500-pound maximum towing rating when properly equipped.

Compare the upholstery by feel, not just the trim name

HondaTex is used on EX-L and Sport-L. Touring has leather trim with piping, while Elite has perforated leather trim. Sit in each material and consider your own cleaning and comfort preferences before deciding.

Touring already includes the main rear-seat technology

The rear screen, CabinWatch, and parking sensors do not require Elite. Touring includes them for $4,200 less; choose Elite when its additional seat comfort, audio, tailgate, glass, mirrors, and wipers matter to you.

Standard Features You Get with Every 2027 Odyssey

These features are included with EX-L, Sport-L, Touring, and Elite. None requires choosing a higher trim.

Measure more than the parking space itself: allow room to walk around the van, open the tailgate, and load the items you carry. The Odyssey is 205.2 inches long—just over 17 feet—and 69.6 inches tall. Check mirror clearance in person and allow extra height for roof accessories; Touring and Elite add parking sensors, but do not reduce the vehicle's footprint. To use the full cargo area behind the front seats, remove the second-row seats and stow the third-row Magic Seat into the floor.

2027 Honda Odyssey Trim-Level FAQs

Get direct answers about trim differences, pricing, seating, cargo, and everyday features.

What are the four 2027 Honda Odyssey trim levels?

The 2027 Honda Odyssey lineup consists of EX-L, Sport-L, Touring, and Elite, in ascending starting-MSRP order. EX-L starts at $43,195, Sport-L at $44,295, Touring at $47,895, and Elite at $52,095, before destination, taxes, and other charges.

What is the 2027 Honda Odyssey price including destination?

With Honda's $1,595 destination charge included, the starting suggested retail totals are $44,790 for EX-L, $45,890 for Sport-L, $49,490 for Touring, and $53,690 for Elite. Taxes, title, registration, dealer fees, accessories, and optional equipment are additional. These are not out-the-door quotes.

How does the 2027 Odyssey Sport-L differ from EX-L?

Sport-L adds 19-inch gloss-black wheels, exclusive exterior and interior styling, red-stitched HondaTex, red ambient lighting, and two third-row USB-C ports. Its starting MSRP is $1,100 higher than EX-L. Both trims have the same V6, transmission, eight-passenger layout, standard cargo measurements, and driver-assistance equipment.

What do you gain by moving from Odyssey Sport-L to Touring?

For a $3,600 increase in starting MSRP, Touring adds a 12.8-inch rear entertainment display, CabinWatch, front and rear parking sensors, navigation, Wi-Fi capability, leather trim, third-row sunshades, upper seatback pockets, and three third-row USB-C ports. HDMI, a third-row headphone jack, a 115-volt outlet, and HondaLink subscription-service capability are also included. Sport-L's red accents and gloss-black wheels do not carry over.

Should I choose the 2027 Odyssey Touring or Elite?

Choose Touring when the rear entertainment system, CabinWatch, and parking sensors cover your priorities. Elite costs $4,200 more in starting MSRP and adds ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, perforated leather trim, 500-watt 11-speaker audio with Multi-Zone Audio, hands-free tailgate access, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming and power-folding side mirrors, and acoustic door glass. The decision is whether those additional comfort and convenience features matter to you.

Which 2027 Odyssey trims include CabinWatch and rear entertainment?

Touring and Elite include CabinWatch and the 12.8-inch Advanced Rear Entertainment System. Neither feature is included on EX-L or Sport-L. CabinTalk is different from CabinWatch: it is the in-car PA system, and all four trims include it.

Can I get ventilated seats without choosing the Odyssey Elite?

No. Ventilated front seats are exclusive to the 2027 Honda Odyssey Elite. Elite also includes the heated steering wheel, while all four trims include heated front seats.

Does the 2027 Odyssey EX-L still have leather-trimmed seats?

The 2027 Honda Odyssey EX-L uses HondaTex-trimmed seating, as does Sport-L. Sport-L adds red stitching. Leather trim with piping begins with Touring, and Elite uses perforated leather trim with piping.

Does any 2027 Honda Odyssey trim have AWD or hybrid power?

No U.S.-market 2027 Honda Odyssey trim offers all-wheel drive or a hybrid powertrain. EX-L, Sport-L, Touring, and Elite all have a 280-hp 3.5-liter V6, a 10-speed automatic, and front-wheel drive. Snow mode is included, but it does not make the Odyssey an AWD vehicle.

Do 2027 Odyssey fuel-economy ratings change by trim?

No. EX-L, Sport-L, Touring, and Elite all have EPA estimates of 19 mpg city, 28 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined. Every trim uses regular unleaded fuel and has a 19.5-gallon fuel tank. Actual fuel economy varies with driving, maintenance, load, and road conditions.

Does a higher 2027 Odyssey trim increase towing capacity?

No. The maximum towing capacity is 3,500 pounds for every 2027 Honda Odyssey trim when properly equipped. Passengers, cargo, trailer setup, and vehicle loading affect towing limits; check the owner's manual for the vehicle and configuration you plan to use.

Do all 2027 Honda Odyssey trims seat eight?

Yes. EX-L, Sport-L, Touring, and Elite each have eight-passenger seating, Magic Slide second-row seats with a multi-function center seat, and a 60/40 split third-row Magic Seat that stows into the floor. Removing seats changes the number of passengers you can carry.

How much cargo room is in each 2027 Odyssey trim?

Standard cargo volume is 32.8 cubic feet behind the third row, 86.6 behind the second row, and 140.7 behind the first row across all four trims. Maximum measurements are 38.6 behind the third row and 91.0 behind the second row. The maximum behind the first row is 155.8 on EX-L and Sport-L, or 155.7 on Touring and Elite; using the full space requires removing the second-row seats and stowing the third row.

Will the 2027 Honda Odyssey fit in my garage?

The 2027 Honda Odyssey measures 205.2 inches long, 78.5 inches wide, and 69.6 inches high, with a 118.1-inch wheelbase and a 39.64-foot curb-to-curb turning diameter. Curb weight ranges from 4,526 pounds on EX-L to 4,590 pounds on Elite. Measure your actual opening and parking area, check mirror clearance, and leave room for loading and tailgate operation.

Are parking sensors standard on every 2027 Odyssey?

Front and rear parking sensors are included on Touring and Elite, with four sensors at each end. EX-L and Sport-L do not include those factory sensors. All trims include a rearview camera with dynamic guidelines, Blind Spot Information, and Cross Traffic Monitor.

Which Odyssey trims provide charging in the third row?

Sport-L has two third-row USB-C ports; Touring and Elite have three. EX-L does not have third-row USB-C ports. A separate third-row 12-volt outlet is included on EX-L and Sport-L, but not Touring or Elite; front and cargo-area 12-volt outlets are included on all four trims.

Are power sliding doors and a power tailgate included on EX-L?

Yes. The 2027 Honda Odyssey EX-L includes power sliding doors and a power tailgate with programmable height, as do the higher trims. Elite adds Hands-Free Access to the tailgate.

Is the same Honda Sensing equipment included on all four trims?

Every 2027 Honda Odyssey includes Honda Sensing features such as Collision Mitigation Braking with Advanced Pedestrian Detection, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, Lane Keeping Assist, and Traffic Sign Recognition. Blind Spot Information, Cross Traffic Monitor, and Auto High-Beam headlights are also included across the lineup. These systems assist, rather than replace, an attentive driver.

What to Try During Your Odyssey Test Drive

Bring your usual passengers, child seats, and cargo when practical. Use the same checks in each trim so you can compare the differences that matter to your family.

  1. With the vehicle parked, check your child-seat installation and ask for a demonstration of the permitted Magic Slide® seating configurations.
  2. Sit in the third row and try the access route your passengers will use. Then operate the 60/40 Magic Seat® to see how it stows.
  3. Operate both power sliding doors and check the entry space beside a curb or parked vehicle.
  4. Place your stroller, sports bags, or other everyday gear behind the third row with all the seats you need in use.
  5. Connect your phone to Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™ and check wireless charging compatibility.
  6. In Touring or Elite, test the rear entertainment connection and view CabinWatch® while parked.
  7. Check the van's fit in a realistic parking space and ask how the front and rear sensors work on Touring and Elite.
  8. In Elite, compare seat ventilation, steering-wheel heat, audio, and hands-free tailgate operation with your expectations.

Compare Your Odyssey Shortlist at Jeffrey Honda

Visit us at 30800 Gratiot Avenue in Roseville, Michigan, near Detroit. Bring your questions, child seats, and usual cargo so you can compare the seating arrangement and equipment that will matter after the test drive.

Browse our current Odyssey inventory, then contact us at 586-204-2408 to confirm the 2027 trim and vehicle location you would like to see. Availability varies, so confirm the vehicles for your comparison before heading over.

Pricing: Starting MSRP excludes tax, title, license, registration, dealer fees, the $1,595 destination charge, accessories, and options. Totals described as including destination add only that charge and are not out-the-door prices. Dealer prices may vary. Confirm the window sticker, equipment, and selling price of the specific vehicle.

Vehicle information: Updated September 16, 2026. See Honda's 2027 Odyssey specifications, features by trim, and September pricing information. Features and specifications may change. EPA mileage estimates are for comparison; actual mileage varies with driving, vehicle maintenance, load, and conditions. Images may show equipment or accessories not included on every trim.

Maximum towing requires proper equipment and is subject to passenger, cargo, and loading limits; consult the owner's manual. Driver-assistance systems do not detect every object or condition and do not replace safe driving. Wi-Fi data and HondaLink® subscription services require applicable subscriptions. Cargo capacity varies with seating configuration and is limited by weight and distribution. Honda Maintenance Program coverage is subject to program terms; routine maintenance remains necessary regardless of tune-up interval.
