Honda has a reputation for offering abundant safety technologies with their models, but with so many technologies out there you may be wondering, “What is Honda LaneWatch™ and what does it do?” Simply put, it helps keep drivers informed about what is happening on the passenger side of their vehicle. This easy to operate safety feature can be found on many new Honda vehicles. Discover more about Honda LaneWatch™, and how it can make your Grosse Pointe commutes safer, with Jeffrey Honda.

How Does Honda LaneWatch™ Work?

The Honda LaneWatch™ feature works similarly to a blind spot monitoring system. On vehicles equipped with this feature, a camera is installed below their right, passenger-side mirrors. This camera then sends an image to the central display screen, which you can view as you drive. Honda LaneWatch™ makes it easier and safer to change lanes or make turns by giving you a clearer view of the side of your car.

It’s important to note that Honda LaneWatch™ is a safety enhancement—not a substitute.

How to Use Honda LaneWatch™

Easily engage Honda LaneWatch™ by activating the right turn signal to turn the system on. Once you signal, the camera will power on automatically and you’ll see an image of your blind zone. You can also press the button on the end of the turning signal control; pressing the button again turns the system off. To change the settings, follow these steps:

  • Select Settings on the HOME screen.
  • Choose Camera.
  • Choose LaneWatch™.
  • Make your preferred changes.
  • Press BACK to exit.
